It’s the season to get neck pain!
Slept funny? Hunching your Shoulders?
Elevating the shoulders tenses the neck muscles and compresses the joints in the neck. Sleeping in a head forward and rounded back position puts stain on ligaments at the base of the neck.
Stay warm with a scarf and extra layers. If you feel the shoulders lift then try and relax them down. Avoid cold air blowing on your neck at night if you are prone to neck pain.
Get help! If you wake with limited neck mobility it pays to get help that day. it is much easier to treat then and almost always results in the issue being resolved in one treatment if treated on day zero.
