ABOUT US

The People Mechanic Physiotherapy is a Physiotherapy practice in North Turramurra. Conveniently located a few minutes drive from Turramurra, Pymble, St Ives and Gordon.  You can find us above IGA at 4/245 Bobbin Head Road. There is lift and stair access to level one. To access the lift please go into IGA and turn left once in the store. Our Suite is located at the back, right hand side of the building so, once on level one, follow the corridor past Douglass Hanly Moir as far as you can go.

There is parking on Bobbin Head Road, Normurra Avenue and a parking lot across the road behind the shops on Valley Park Crescent. Please call ahead if you need a wheelchair to help get from your car to the practice.

The People Mechanic Physiotherapy was created to provide a whole person approach to healing. We provide movement classes and hands on therapy to target the different needs of patients. The People Mechanic Physiotherapy was established in 2024 by Suzanne Smyth who has 23 years experience as a Physio. We believe in educating patients about their health to empower them to self-help where possible or provide guidance.

About Our Principal Physio

Suzie is a passionate Physiotherapist who completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree majoring in Physiotherapy with first class honors from the University of Sydney in 1999.

In the two decades since she has worked around Australia and overseas gaining extensive experience in the practice of Physiotherapy. Suzie has experience working as a Pilates Physiotherapist, a Sports Physiotherapist and in the Occupational space as a general Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and in injury prevention. Suzie has had experience in a most treatment modalities and focuses on what works.

Suzie is dedicated to assisting in a smooth recovery for her patients. Understanding of injury, what works with treatment and self-help strategies are all important to speed up recovery.

 At home, Suzie is a keen soccer player, enjoys four-wheel driving, snow-boarding, camping and loves to host dinner parties for friends. She has two dogs, two cats and a close knit, active family. She has led an active life and has had first-hand experience with successfully overcoming her own injuries over the years.
